THALIA
Digital toolset for the analysis, promotion and protection of the Greek cultural reserve in small cultural institutions
In the promotion and preservation of cultural heritage, local cultural bodies and especially museums always have a leading role, as they have a more direct relationship and a greater relevance to the local society and local culture. Local cultural organizations do not usually have the administrative support and tools to enable them to carry out their important work effectively and to obtain the necessary financial resources that their operation requires. The smaller cultural bodies, as well as those with a local scope, have an important mission to perform, but at the same time have limited administrative, financial and technical resources. Recognizing the great importance of small cultural bodies in promoting culture, society and the economy, and at the same time their significantly reduced access to administrative, financial and technical resources, this project designed and implemented a framework, methodology and digital support tools to enchance the economic viability and development of small cultural entities. The project focused on the implementation of a sophisticated digital toolbox for the analysis of the assets of cultural institutions and the development of good practices of utilization and sustainability, in order to effectively achieve the essential protection of the Greek cultural heritage.
