Empathy in Health
The Interactive Virtual Reality Videos for Health Care Professionals (using avatars) project has been successfully completed, introducing new perspectives in healthcare training through interactive Virtual Reality (VR) videos. The VR videos were designed to enhance healthcare professionals’ empathy by allowing them to experience patients’ perspectives through a first-person view.
The project developed and implemented an educational program that can be integrated into healthcare training curricula, focusing on fostering empathy skills. VR technology, combined with a curriculum aligned with EQF levels 5 and 7, training materials, educational videos, and comprehensive tutor guides, contributed to the introduction of empathetic communication in the healthcare sector.
As a result of the project, VR and industry-specific educational videos were created, providing an innovative approach to developing empathy skills and improving the quality of patient care.
